OOTD Striped V-neck pocket Tee from Gap

Not the most exciting outfit, but my line of work doesn't really call for fancy outfits!  I just really require things that fit well and look good. I recently purchased this tee shirt from the Gap. I really like the stripes as most of my tees are solids and the neckline isn't cut too low. I am also finding it to be a nice balance between a less fitted cut, but not too loose. I was able to purchase mine in the petite small size, but I like this shirt well enough, I'd try it in a regular size as well.

The crops are from Loft, last year. All my favorite crops are from Loft...you just have to go try on! This particular pair is a petite size 6.  My flips are quickly becoming my favorites from Clarks purchased from Piperlime. They are very comfy, I think they look a lot nicer then plastic flip flops!

The sizes are getting limited on Piperlime, but I am sure if you do a search, more would pop up. In fact, try Zappos!!

Anthropologie Hammered Circle Drop Earrings

I am so picky when it comes to earrings...they can't be too big or pull on my ear.  I also like them to work well with my casual lifestyle I have of staying home with the kids.  So, when I find an earring I like, it is a big deal.  Enter Anthropologie Hammered Circle Drop Earrings.

Hammered Circle Drops

These earrings are light weight, comfortable, and add just a touch of shine up by my face.  I am thinking about going back and getting them in the silver as well.  Kind of a steal at just $28 dollars too!

Old Navy Striped Ruffle-Tube Dress

Old Navy is really doing a great job with providing cute petite sized dresses this season at an excellent price.  I just got this striped ruffle-tube dress in the blue stripes for less then $25.00.  It is so cute!  I got it in the size small petite and it is perfect for this weekend in the very hot weather.

Couple of things about this dress...First, I am a mother of two and I am not just the same as I was 15 years ago.  I choose this dress specifically because of the ruffle at the top.   I feel it adds a bit of "coverage" and interest, so my chest isn't the total focal point.  I also have a little Bandini bra by Hanes on under this dress for a bit of extra support.  You can find these at Target as well as online and I do recommend these little comfy, convertible bras for just a bit of support under some of these strapless summer dresses. This dress has knocked out my new Boden dress for what I want to wear for a neighborhood BBQ.  I felt the Boden dress was a touch dressy for a BBQ.

I am going to continue to look for my perfect maxi dress, but for now I could not be happier with my little summer dresses!  Check out Old Navy!

Boden Beachcomber Dress

Every once in a while I try a non-petite dress and fall in love.  Meet my new love, Boden's Beachcomber Dress.  I got it in the regular size 4 and besides a little bit of hemming, it is darling.

It has smocking along the back, so it is so comfortable and the fabric is almost 100% cotton with a bit of stretch thrown in for good measure.  I am in love with the bright Force Tropicana print.  I really can't say enough about this cute little dress.  I am looking forward to wearing it this weekend at a party where the temperatures are looking to soar over 90 degreees.  As for sizing, I am exactly 5 feet tall, so when I hem, I usually take it up 4 inches and then length is at the right spot.  Perfect for when you want to look pulled together but not over done in hot weather.  Kick on a pair of cute sandals and I am ready to go!

Anthony Logistic for Men Ingrown Hair Treatment

Ok, this may not be the most glamorous post, but this product has changed my life...well, in the warm months anyhow.  I have always struggled with red spots and rough legs after shaving.  I NEVER was able to get a nice silky finish.  I tried different razors, shaving cream, you name it.  It finally dawned on me that I am getting little ingrown hairs, a ton of them, all over my legs, after shaving.  My legs were always rough, raw and quite frankly, kind of ugly.  I tried a few different treatments and they worked ok.  I recently found Anthony Logistic for Men Ingrown Hair Treatment at Sephora and my legs look so much better.

This product smooths and comforts my legs after shaving.  I have found if I use one pump each leg after shaving and then the next day spread one pump between two legs, I can now go three days not shaving because my skin looks so smooth and calm.  Nice!  The only problem is that it is a bit expensive, but I really don't care, my legs finally look good.  I feel like I should also say I am not affiliated with this company at all, I just want to shout from the rooftops how good this product is...can you hear me yelling through the computer screen???  Yea!!!

Old Navy Tiered Ruffle Asymmetrical Skirt

I have been trying maxi dresses and nothing is really working for me, but I do like the longer skirt look and feel.  All the dresses I try can just feel so overwhelming and quite frankly, i feel silly in them!  I found this skirt at Old Navy online and thought I'd try it. Originally, I thought I wouldn't like the asymmetrical length and/or it would be too long, but i think it fits pretty well.  I bought the olive skirt online and went back online to pick up the black.  Not too bad for a non-petite.

It's made from all cotton and is very comfortable and easy to wear, I got it in a regular size small.  It is actually hard to find online, there is only XS and S available in the black.

Too cute huh?  Not bad for a non-petite size!  I paired this skirt with a layering tank top from L.L.Bean (it was hot out!) with my Kork-Ease Felicia and some aviator sunglasses.  It looked cute to run errands in and go to the salon.  I am going to cruise by the store tomorrow and see if I can find a few more in different colors!  I'll report back if I find some more.

And I did finally receive my Beachcomber Dress from Boden and it is so cute, I plan on wearing it to a party this weekend, so pictures coming soon.  But I can't decide to shorten or leave alone.....

Tocca Cleopatra

As the weather heats up, I lighten up on my perfume quite a bit.  I am a big, spicy winter perfume girl, so the summer weather really makes me reevaluate my fragrance.  I recently stumbled upon Tocca Cleopatra at Anthropogie.

Tocca Beauty - Cleopatra

The scent is light, but still has a sexiness to it, but not cloying or heavy.  The description states Grapefruit as a top note, but I really have a difficult time noticing that level to it.  It is just a good perfume to wear when the temperature starts getting hot, but you don't want to knock people over with a huge perfume.  Just right for your friends to say, "You smell good."

Sam Edelman Mallory 2.0

Well, I finally caved and purchased the New Patent Blush Sam Edelman Mallory slingback from Nordstrom.  I did have to wait until Nordstrom restocked.  It was worth the wait.

The color is a nice mid-tone beige, not too pink.  The wedge is tall, but not so much that you would pass on the shoes, I don't feel like I am teetering at all.  I was able to purchase my regular size 7 and the fit is just right.   Unfortunately, I think there are not a lot left in the patent blush color, so some stalking may be in need to purchase this shoe.

As you can see, there is some cleavage, but not too much.  I should also say I received these while I was out of town and I had just gotten off a flight.   My feet always swell a bit, so the cleavage may look a bit less now that I have gotten my land legs back.  I just couldn't wait to try them on and take pictures!!

These are lovely shoes and I can't wait to try them out with different outfits soon.  I just ordered a Micheal Kors Maxi (ish) dress which I think will look awesome with these wedges!  Be on the lookout for them soon...

Title Nine Print Audience Skirt

I recently ordered this skirt expecting it too be once again too long or/and have a weird proportion.  It doesn't! I love this skirt!  I don't know how people with an average height would were this, it think it would be too short.  Here it is on me, the Turkish Potpourri color choice...

Yes, it is a bit blurry, sorry about that!  But the skirt itself is fantastic, just the correct length, very light weight, great print, and easy to wear.  Here it is from T9 site:

Print Audience Skirt

My beef is that T9 rarely offers discounts or free shipping, which makes it very difficult for me to order from them...so that means this skirt is that great!

I want more....

Philosophy Here Comes the Sun...

I swear EVERY late April/early May I get suckered into buying sunless tanner to give my legs a bit of a boost in color.  I AM A SUCKER EVERY YEAR!

See, I figure by now they should be able to make a sunless tanner without that god awful smell.  The pungent, gross stink that wakes me up from under the covers in PJ pants, stink.  Each year I get suckered in and am disappointed and smell bad.

This year I tried Philosophy Here Comes the Sun Sunless Tanner.

Here Comes The Sun Age-Defense Golden Glow Self Tanner For Body

I tried this in the store and was pleasantly surprised at how easily it went on, not greasy or too smelly at the initial application.  I continued to shop, smelling my arm and decided to purchase as the smell wasn't too bad...yet.  I don't worry about color looking too orange.  I am pretty olive, so sunless tanners work well with my skin tone.   So far, so good...right?

By three hours later, my arm smelled so bad I swear people were looking around trying to find the source of the stink.  Damn it, it's me.  Which is too bad because the color came out very natural, not too dark, no streaks.  If you don't recoil at the scent of sunless tanner, go for it.  Everything but the smell is great about this product.

So, I am still looking for my stink less, sunless tanner....any suggestions??????
