Paige Wristlet

I just ordered this.




This is the Paige Wristlet from Banana Republic in the cognac color. I am a big sucker for a wristlet while running errands and have been looking for a nice neutral one for a while. When it popped up on sale on the BR site, I pulled the trigger. I hope the leather and the size are nice!

Athleta Printed Shorebreak Dress

I just got the Athleta Printed Shorebreak Dress in the mail. You can find it here.






The color I got is the tidal blue in the regular size medium. It works pretty well for length, this dress wasn't offered in petites, but it seems to be okay. It might be just a little bit long, hitting right at my knees. The only thing I wish was different is that while the supportive top is great, the coverage is a touch too low and depending how much I shift around, shows a lot of cleavage...not really what I want. But the print is so cute and it is perfect for hot days watching the kids splash around in the pool. The fit around the hips is perfect, skimming, but not too tight, that part I love.


Honestly, I am not sure I will keep it. It is almost perfect, but I really have to ask myself if I will wear it a lot, or just try it on and put it back because it just isn't as covered as I like on my chest.

Born Zee Sandal

I recently bought these from Nordstrom.




The picture above is in the color I got, Pebble Taupe. I like them a lot, they are very comfortable, even with a good sized wedge. Apparently this style from Born is a Nordstrom exclusive, so you have to get them from there. I just am hesitating from wearing them out because I just don't know if they fit my life style right now...hmmmmm. Here are a few more pictures:












They look super cute with some of my longer skirts, but I don't know how much wear I'll get out of them. Maybe I'll keep them until the late summer, then the kids will be in school and I'll see if I wear them more naturally when the kids aren't a big part of my day. I also like the raspberry color too...those I may stalk for a sale!

Athleta Printed Shorebreak Dress and Kokomo Dress

I recently ordered these two Dresses from the Athleta website.




This one the the Printed Shorebreak Dress. I ordered it in the tidal blue in the regular size medium. Some of the reviews stated it can run a bit tight in the chest, so I opted to go up a size even in the non petite sizing. Because it is an empire waisted dress, I have some confidence I can make it work, we'll see!


The other dress I ordered is the Kokomo dress. This one does come in petite sizes. Again, because of the reviews, I ordered up a size, medium petite, because of chest sizing issues.




I ordered this in the vivid blue color. I am hoping to get at least one nice dress out of this order. Both of these dresses have a built in bra, that's why I am trying them out. I want to be able to just throw them on after a day of swimming and look pulled together, but not have to fuss with my foundation wear!

Alexa by Lauren by Ralph Lauren

I keep wearing these Alexa sandals from Lauren from Ralph Lauren.




They just keep popping up in my pictures and I throw them on when I am out the door when I want a step up from my flip flops!



I've found bronze to be a great neutral to work with my skin tone. Sometimes gold and silver can look a bit harsh next to my skin. These are on sale now at the Piperlime web site. Grab them while you can!

Lands End Canvas Lightweight Plaid Shorts

I know plaid shorts sometimes aren't the most flattering choices (I find they can be widening) BUT sometimes they just fit into your lifestyle. Case in point: Lands End Canvas line of plaid Shorts.
These shorts were just on sale for 12 dollars a pair! What I like about them is that they are lightweight, 100% cotton, and hid whatever I sit in... sigh. See, right now I am out roaming in the neighborhood and I always feel like I sit in dirt, water, and even Popsicle. Then I walk around the rest of the afternoon with a stain on my rear. That doesn't happen with plaid shorts. Well, it happens, you just can't see it very well.




Again, not the most flattering look, but I'll take it if it will camouflage the dirt and stains. I purchased both the Pale Salmon and Chambray colors and I am very happy with both patterns and colors. (I'm wearing the Pale Salmon in the picture I took). I am sure these will pop on sale again, so keep a look out for it!

Michael by Michael Kors Maxi Dress

I found a maxi dress! It took some time and I am still on the lookout for a more casual maxi dress, but this one is perfect for a dinner out or a party in the evening.







I am really happy with how the fit doesn't overwhelm me. I know that I cannot do a maxi dress that is too long and flowy, it's just too much. This dress is just right. It is from Michael by Michael Kors. I got mine from Zappos. It comes in black and a hot pink in the petite line for about $100.00. I also noticed it is available from Nordstrom, for about the same price. I may stalk the hot pink one!

What is also nice about this dress is that it is made from that slinky material that travels very well. You truly could ball this in your suitcase and then shake it out right before dinner and it would be perfect. Whoopie!

Kerasal Exfoliating Pumice Paste

Once again summer brings the need for products that just work. I don't have/take the time to go get a pedicure...so sometimes I need a quick scrub that will get my feet sandal ready, fast. I recently ordered This from Drugstore.com.




A quick scrub in the shower gets my heels ready for any summer sandal I want to throw at them. This scrub not only gets rid of rough winter skin, but also moisturizes at the same time. I love this stuff!

And, I am totally unaffiliated with this product, just thought I should mention that too. I just love a product that does what it says.

Target Maxi Dress....Hmmmmmm

I recently found this maxi dress from Target




It's okay...but I am not looking for just okay. There is an inner shelf bra that does an okay job, but again, just okay. And it doesn't come in petite sizes, so I would have to take off eight inches at least on the bottom. It also slightly puffs right under the bust line where the skirt comes down off of the empire waist.




So, the search continues...I actually wonder if I will ever find one that I like. It might just not work on my body type and my lifestyle right now. I really am not lounging around on the patio with drinks. We'll see, I'll still keep trying!
